The first 4 jumps of my AFF Skydiving course!

I went to do my AFF skydiving course at the Voss dropzone in Norway last August.
I was invited to play a show in return for the course and ended up playing in a valley where base jumpers were landing... it was incredible!
Here's the video of me doing the first 4 out of the 7 jumps you need to complete the course. Unfortunately bad weather meant I had to stop, but I completed the rest a month later at Langer in the UK, the video of my last 3 will come soon... meanwhile, check out me FLYING!!

Here's an acoustic version of my bands single ‘Sun in the Island’ recorded in a forest in the snow!

A short film that documents the day Swimming performed a unique acoustic version of Sun In The Island in the Skyspace installation found at the heart of Kielder Forest, Northumberland.

It is recorded by sonic artist Dallas Simpson using tiny microphones in his ears (binaural recording) that is designed to be listened back on headphones.
This will transport you to the exact placement of Dallas, moving around the space and the sound in this magical environment.

The past few days have been pretty crazy - amazing crowds in Glasgow, Birmingham... i can hardly remember further back than that, but each show has been an awesome experience for us all, many thanks!

We all went GoKarting yesterday, was basically an ice rink!! Had an awesome time, here's the crew!

I'm writing this backstage at the show at Cardiff Arena tonight - packed out crowd, looking awesome!

Hello folks!

So since my crazy summer of festival fun (and a big thankyou to all who were there for my shows to make em so ace) I have been doing the rounds at fresher’s events to herald a new year of the uk’s finest academic brains embarking on their quest for brain food by starting university. I went to Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Oxford, Chester, Brighton and London to party with the fresher’s and had my own lesson in how many fluorescent colours alcohol now comes in… get your shots out! There’s a video on it’s way from my full show in Oxford, will keep you posted.

Making Beats on the Bus to Bournemouth

We are currently in Bournemouth at the International Centre for the first of the matinee days... one show down, another on this evening!

The drive down was awesome, thanks to my loop pedal going down a treat with the boys, particularly Aidan and Mitchell!

My band are on route to London from Nottingham to play a show at Hoxton Bar and Grill tonight.
Oh yeah.... it's snowing loads... and the heating in our van has died as you can see in this completely unstaged shot...


Anyway we should make it fine n well and I can't wait to get playing with my band again... it's been a couple of weeks since we finished our UK and European tour with Carl Barat, be good to get the drum sticks back in my hands!

No DV show = in the studio with my band!

So unfortunately the Diversity show today in Southend had to be cancelled... it's a shame but I'm sure we'll all be back there before long.

I'm not too upset though - it means I've had tome to mission it back to Notts to practice with my band ahead of our show tomorrow, playing at Hoxton Bar and Grill in London.

Carving bus tracks through the snow to Belfast

We just landed in Belfast!
Soooooo the show last night in Dublin was amaaazing! The place was massive and packed and the crowd were ace! Check out the pic below... not great but you can see how many peeps were there...

We were then greeted back at the hotel by loads of folks that had been to the show... it started snowing... heavily... and the greatest snowball fight I have ever had ensued, instigated by myself and Terry... i was covered in snow, Aidan was dashing snowballs, Perri was ducking and weaving, Mitchell was skidding on the ice... and about 20 other kids were trying their hardest to make sure we were all covered head to foot in snow... it was snowy chaos, but I loved it! I then had to go out soaking wet, hair dripping... but it was soooo worth it!
I didn't have my camera, would've been a dangerous move, but here's some pics from the morning's snow fun action!

DV tour day 2 - Dublin O2

We were greeted this morning by a layer of snow on the Dublin footpaths... which can only mean one thing........ snowball fight!!! Awesome! This was obviously a warm up for the show at the O2 arena tonight, the biggest venue of the tour, can't wait.

It's not all snowball fights though, here's me n Perri getting down to some serious business backstage...

On tour with Diversity part 2 - The Xmas Tour!

So i'm off on tour with Diversity again for their Christmas tour! We started last weekend with the first show at Butlins in Minehead - a smasher which also saw me make my dancing debut... yes I danced on stage... with Diversity... in front of 4,500 people... crazy!

We're currently in Dublin, just arrived at the airport, ready to play the o2 tomorrow - biggest venue of the tour!

Ok so here's the number 2 THePETEBOX video blog! I went on a trip with the awesomo Dj Santero to support the Sugarhill Gang in Liverpool! Was an ace show all round, I dropped a couple of their classics but unfortunately didn't get any footage of my show! I did get a totally cool shout out from the gang though which made me mighty chuffed indeed! Anyway here's some bits n bobs from the evening.

On tour with Diversity!

So i'm off on tour with Diversity!

Ok so you all know I like to spread myself around when it comes to working with and doing shows with different types of artist. I have supported the likes of Mystery Jets and New Young Pony Club, played rock festivals, worked with hip hop supergroups Foreign Beggars and 1st Blood, played alongside Andy C and Pendulum in the DnB world, played at techno supernight Firefly, I recently toured with RnB singer Jay Sean and this month I shall be joining none other than the awesome dance group known as Diversity on their UK tour. They have written me a part in their show especially (playing myself of course) after playing together at the world freerunning champs last year, and it’s gonna be a monster of a show!

So i've just got back from touring with Jay Sean to help promote his new single 'Do You remember'. I had an awesome time, Jay's a great guy, as were all the crew, Ben a.k.a. Elvis upon the geetar and the lovely Michelle on vox.
During the week I ended up on Skyrock Radio, Ado and Fun Radio in France, recorded sessions for 1xtra, Capital, Sun Bizarre, did a Maida Vale Session, did a live show in Copenhagan and performed live on Live From Studio 5 with the one and only Ian Wright!

New dates announced for Jay Sean's promo tour

Hey y'all!
So the bad news is the arena tour set for Feb with Jay Sean and NeYo is no longer happening as intended - Jay Sean won't be joining NeYo and as I am guesting as part of Jay's show, neither will I. There will be new dates announced very soon though so all is well and good there!

As for this month - as you know one of the aspects of beatboxing i celebrate and indulge in alot is the freedom for beatboxing to be used in any which way and for any kind of music. I have supported the likes of Mystery Jets and Automatic, worked with hip hoppers Foreign Beggars and First Blood, featured on a hardcore track with Audio Junkie, i'm in Swimming, an etherial rock/psychedelic pop band, i've played with Pendulum, Zinc, Andy C in the DnB world... the list goes on...
Well this month, I shall be mostly beatboxing RnB! I'm joining Jay Sean on his promo tour over the next couple of weeks, during which time you will spot me on T4, MTV, Sun Bizarre, XFM, 1Xtra, Capitol and few other places around the media highway. I will keep you all updated with my twitter

So to kick off the year I am pleased to announce the arrival of my new website! I'm pretty excited about it cos I love it and give thanks to the genius design vision of Cam aka kda-design for making such an awesome site.

Parkour athlete Sticky is freerunning 1000miles from Motor Neurone Disease!

I was recently asked to be part of a video asking folks to donate money for Motor Neurone Disease. Who asked me... a guy named Sticky. He's an incredible Parkour athlete and plans to freerun 1000 miles from John O'groats to Paris in February '10. Pretty intense! He's a hugely determined guy and an awesome athlete and there's no doubt he's gonna make it.
